The Technics Company is best known by one product, probably the most famous Record Player in the world, the SL 1210 MK2XG. The 1210 is the absolute Turntable for DJs and made Technics a Trend Brand. Additionally there are so called slip-mats which lie between turntable and record, to make an independent movement of the record possible. these also exist with a Technics print.
The generative Technics Logo combines the Type with the turntable, this is achieved through movement and interaction. The turntable is hidden in the dark, the tone arm only appears when the logo moves behind it. Of course the user can scratch as well, just touch the logo and move it, the brand-typical rows of Strobe-Points appear.
The application could be displayed on a screen in the middle of a revolving door. The Perspective on the Logo is adjusted to the height of the person walking through. If the door is moved the turntable is moved against its direction, the user can "scratch" the record using the door.
